This senior marketing position in Baird’s corporate Marketing & Communications department is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of marketing and communications programs for the firm’s Asset Management businesses.

This is a comprehensive marketing role which requires an individual with both strategic marketing and program execution skills, and a demonstrated ability to successfully cultivate and manage relationships with senior internal clients, partners, and external marketing services providers.

As an Asset Management Marketing Manager, you will:

Development, prioritization, execution and measurement of annual marketing plans and strategies for Baird’s Asset Management business lines. Includes marketing plan development, competitor research, identifying new marketing strategies, and implementing programs (including advertising, email, paid search, social media, sponsorships, videos, webinars) to increase the business’ brand awareness and support product growth goals.

Oversees and manages ongoing enhancements and updates to the marketing tools for these business lines including pitch-books, brochures, flyers and other communications pieces.

Develops and manages the business’s digital marketing presence in partnership with Baird’s

Digital Marketing Services and technology teams. Includes ongoing evaluation and execution of web site enhancements, and paid search, email, and social media campaigns.

Works closely with internal and external Public Relations specialists to advance the earned media strategy for the business, its products and Thought Leaders.

Identifies and helps plan internal communications programs and strategies to increase the business line’s visibility among Baird’s 3,400 plus associates.

Leads or contributes to multiple weekly and monthly cross-functional meetings designed to keep the marketing plan and related projects on track and aligned with the business line’s goals and evolving priorities.

What we look for:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications.

15+ years of marketing communications experience with a standalone Asset Manager or an Asset Management division of a bank, broker-dealer, or diversified financial services company.

Securities licenses (6 or 7, and 24) strongly recommended.

Strong writing and oral communications skills.

Superior program development and project management skills and ability to lead the annual marketing planning process for the Asset Management business lines.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-functional Marketing & Communications team environment.

Demonstrated experience developing and managing relationships with senior internal clients, compliance teams and other stakeholders.
