Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Strategic Marketing Manager will support and work closely with the business unit leaders to develop business intelligence and report on market statistics. This position will provide direction and awareness into which customer market segments are entering growth and declining business cycles. This position will help advance our internal analysis practice by building an analytics core competency within Littelfuse using statistical and visualization tools. The position will be a key element to strategic planning process and will provide valuable insights and aid Sr. Management in strategic and operational decision making.

About the job:

  • Lead division segmentation and targeting efforts. 
  • Update and maintain customer segmentation models for Industrial customers. 
  • Create and maintain economic leading indicators and growth outlook for customer segments to support operations planning. 
  • Identify ways to quantify end-market growth by profiling industry up cycles and down cycles within different customers’ segments. 
  • Tests and validates those predictive models. 
  • Above used for market targeting and strategic planning. 
  • Manage market intelligence for division. 
  • Lead competitive intelligence function. 
  • Publish quarterly summary of financial announcements of competitors and channel partners. 
  • Develop commercial understanding of key customers and markets to enable insightful and sustainable analysis of marketplace changes/trends. 
  • Profiling of adjacent markets and products to support M&A activity. 
  • Analyze data related to customer sales, orders, and quotations. 
  • Assist business managers in answering key questions by translating analytic data into actionable information and recommending a course of action. 
  • Proactively investigate areas of concern and root cause for commercial issues in bookings, profitability, contract reviews, and other commercial data as required. 
  • Discovers “stories” told by the data and presents them to business managers. 
  • Finds new uses for existing data sources. 
  • Complete analysis on direct marketing programs on key metrics such as retention, attrition, reactivation, and promotion response. 
  • Owns division KPI and dashboard reporting. 
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into actionable and reportable details. 
  • Builds web prototypes and performs data visualization. 
  • Ad hoc analysis, report generation and/or special project work as required.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering, MBA preferred. 
  • Has strong critical thinking skills and the ability to relate them to the products or services the company is producing. 
  • Able to build relationships with business partners. 
  • Possesses strong exploratory analysis skills. 
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to bridge the gap between data and business management. 
  • Has the ability to think and research creatively. 
  • Displays exceptional organizational skills and is detail oriented.
