The Project Manager – Trade Shows & Customer Engagement has primary responsibility for Local and Regional Trade Show Strategy, Planning, Budgeting, Execution; Dealer Events; and Sales Promotion/Dealer Loyalty Development and Communication. This position develops, presents, implements and manages these programs, as part of an integrated marketing effort.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Trade Show Project Management Functions:

  • Collaborates with sales management to lead and develop the annual trade show strategy, schedule and budget for Regional and Local shows and events.
  • Assesses and reports trade show and event recommendations to management and Corporate Marketing and works with them to ensure compliance with strategic and corporate identity standards.
  • Manages the budgets and targets by establishing and tracking trade show project scope.
  • Processes contracts for the show and manages show/event budgets administration from start to finish.
  • Defines and evaluates KPIs for trade show selection, success and justified ROI.
  • Oversees graphics and messaging of show concepts and coordinates exhibition execution. Collaborates with product management/market developers, sales training, aftermarket, and sales operations to select and order machines.
  • Manages outside suppliers on the creation and execution of show themes, display properties and graphics, and show services.
  • Works with sales operations and logistics departments, as well as outside suppliers to coordinate transportation, show set up, and move-out.
  • Manages show staffing and group room blocks with input from sales and product management, as well as with hotels and show organizers.
  • Manages lead retrieval system at shows and integrates data with CRM system.
  • Interacts with sales management and field sales force on driving dealer and end user engagement with Wacker Neuson from show to purchase. 

Event Project Management Functions:

  • Works with a cross-functional team to drive the messaging and execution of annual dealer events and sales meetings.
  • Oversees venue selection and coordination with site staff for accommodations, food and beverage for events.
  • Supports Human Resources in employee-focused events and programs. 

Dealer Loyalty Development Project Management:

  • Works with sales and marketing management to design and execute programs that support sales, dealer loyalty and brand recognition.
  • Visits dealers to provide creative and innovative ideas and competitive insight that will help the distribution channel grow, building brand awareness and market penetration.
  • Ensures dealer co-op submissions are compliant with WN brand standards.
  • Develops and distributes new dealer welcome kits and collaborates on dealer store branding.
  • Works with internal marketing and Aftermarket colleagues on showroom branding. 

Safety:

  • Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness.
  • Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, advertising, journalism, communications or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience project managing and coordinating trade shows, special events and meeting planning.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing dealer loyalty, promotions and engagement programs.
  • Experience developing and managing complex budgets.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter with problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Highly detail oriented, but also creative.
  • Ability to effectively manage supplier relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including out of state travel.
  • Experience working in the construction or agricultural equipment industry.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Consistently lead and manage to project timelines.
  • Additional years of experience or education may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources.
