The Excelsior Group, a growing Property Management/Investment company, is looking for a full-time Junior Graphic Designer to join our marketing team.

Job Objective(s):

This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of design solutions with high visual impact.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Actively offer input to creative meetings and share ideas. 
  • Produce attractive and effective designs for all media. 
  • Communicate with senior team members to receive and apply feedback. 
  • Provide design support to the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects. 
  • Gather information and materials from colleagues, clients, vendors, and others for use in design projects. 
  • Submit rough design layout and obtain concept approval in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional associations. 
  • Contribute to team effort by meeting individual deadlines. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualification Standards:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. 
  • Some creative industry experience, 2+ years preferred. 
  • Experience working as part of a design team preferred. 
  • Adeptness with leading design software packages such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, as well as exposure to CSS. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, clients, and vendors. 
  • A determination to achieve and succeed. 
  • Ability to engage others, exhibit a can-do attitude, and contribute to a constructive team environment. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment and see projects through from inception to production. 
  • Consistency in work performance, quality, product, and contributions, regardless of project size. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Motivation to maintain and improve design standards. 
  • Ability and willingness to receive feedback and use it to adjust and make improvements. 
  • High level of personal and professional integrity, including ability to protect and maintain sensitive and confidential information pertaining to marketing related expenditures, prospective client/tenant/vendor finances, vendor relations, lease-up details, and proprietary marketing designs, etc. not known to the public. 
  • Ability to think creatively and bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges. 
  • Ability to maintain composure in a deadline driven environment which frequently requires same day turnarounds. 
  • Follow and adhere to organizational policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to maintain punctual, regular, and reliable attendance. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the willingness and ability to learn new and evolving technology as necessary. 
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, printers, telephone systems, calculators, scanners, copiers, and facsimile machines. 
  • Ability to read, write, spell, speak, and understand English fluently. 
  • Ability to accurately perform basic math. 
  • Maintain neat, well-groomed, professional appearance.
