Rimage Corporation is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist who will create and manage all marketing communications tools, including print, website, video, tradeshow, event, social media, and internal needs. This person must wear many hats and will handle all graphic design, writing, photography, and video production; maintain website content and manage outside vendor resources as needed. On average, the position is 40% graphic design, 30% writing, 30% website. Rimage is the global leader in on-demand digital publishing, and is a pioneer and innovator in CD, DVD, and Blu-ray™ disc publishing. We're conveniently located on the southwest border of Edina and Eden Prairie off 494 and 169.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Marketing Communications Specialist include the following:

  • Maintain creative control of all marketing communication materials to ensure a unified look. Design and produce marcom materials including brochures, data sheets, product samples, white papers, case studies, PowerPoint presentations, sales promotions, posters, banners, tradeshow graphics, email newsletters, blogs, videos, disc labels, etc. Maintain and adhere to Style Guide. 
  • Write and edit copy for all marketing communications materials. Marketing / Product Management will provide guidance on value proposition, features and benefits to be communicated, and positioning. Create and maintain language-specific materials for regions using internal and external translators. 
  • Create and maintain website content, keywords, forms, layout and structure to ensure products and branding are presented accurately in each region/language subsite. Monitor website analytics and recommend updates as needed; optimize SEO. Collaborate with IT on functionality changes, staging, and push to live sites. 
  • Distribute and ensure Sales, VARs, and international teams have access to current marketing communication materials. Manage release to website and marketing portal. Support regional and channel requests for custom development. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to assist in maintaining accuracy of images and content for additional online tools including Webshop, Sales Portal, RFShub, Amazon, partner sites, and Zendesk support site. 
  • Photograph, edit, and maintain library of all current photographic images; select and manage stock assets. 
  • Create and maintain all videos for the company. Develop new materials; seek subject matter experts to be filmed; transcribe audio for translation. Effectively manage YouTube / other video resources. 
  • Recommend and develop social media strategy and other lead generation strategies. 
  • Working closely with Engineering and Purchasing, create, update, and approve graphics for product materials such as components, badging, labels, diagrams, materials, packaging, documentation. 
  • Work with external vendors for production needs; track and approve expenses. 
  • For marcom projects and events (meetings, road shows, webinars, training), perform project management functions such as defining requirements, developing resources, managing to interim timelines and schedules, obtaining review approvals, release, and managing the budget.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in graphics design and production. 
  • BA degree desired, or related work experience 
  • Strong writing skills, including audience-appropriate message development. 
  • Edit, proofread, finalize. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers, agencies and partners. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and perform with speed and accuracy. 
  • Must be proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; Premiere Pro, After Effects for work with videos; Acrobat for interactive forms. 
  • Must be proficient in WordPress to enter/update content. 
  • Prefer experience with analytics, SEO, forms, and multi-site/multi-language websites. Website html development is a plus. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
