Job Summary:

The Senior Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the overall communications strategy incorporating a broad range of communications and support for Weil-McLain and Marley Engineered Products, consisting of oversight of tradeshows, public relations, media relations, copywriting, graphic design, collateral material, direct mail, web site, social and mobile media content and cooperative partner’s identity programs. Works collaboratively with a diverse team to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing and brand strategies for Weil-McLain, Williamson-Thermoflo, and Marley Engineered Products.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategic marketing communications plans and implementation. 
  • Coordinate communications projects with vendors and contractors for the development and production of educational event promotional materials, radio and television advertisements, web site and mobile media production and other collateral. 
  • Oversee and Manage Marketing Communications Expense Budget. Responsible for planning media calendar and monthly and quarterly expense tracking. 
  • Provide writing and editing support for all outbound communication to ensure it is aligned to the key messaging and appeals to the target customer base. This includes all promotional materials and digital content. 
  • Author press releases in conjunction with Corporate Communications Standards and review editorial content of website and white paper research submittals. 
  • Point of contact for all inbound Weil-McLain media inquiries. 
  • Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing and brand effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to brand guidelines. 
  • Oversee national/regional tradeshows including return on investment analysis, customer survey formatting, booth set-up and tear down, product delivery and logistical coordination. 
  • Manage group of employees providing communications support including remotely based employees and web support. 
  • Oversee firm’s graphic design needs including coordination with external agencies and enforcing compliance to Weil-McLain graphic standards. 
  • Manage and benchmark communication related vendor relationships, and ensure the Company’s strategic communications plan is aligned to the industry and reflects current technological applications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as media spokesperson for Weil-McLain en lieu of President and/or Vice President of Marketing’s availability. 
  • Assist Director of Sales and Marketing Support with new employee orientation responsibilities.

Education & Experience:

  • 5-8 years Marketing Communications experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field 
  • MBA preferred 
  • Experience with traditional and non-traditional communication venues including social media, mobile applications, and other digital content. 
  • 3-5 years demonstrated people leadership.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills required 
  • Ability to successfully manage and lead teams in fast paced environment 
  • General knowledge of HVAC industry 
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills coupled with superior professionalism and judgment. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and on cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
