Hanley Wood Marketing is a full-service brand strategy and content marketing agency with 30+ years of experience serving Fortune 500 companies.

The account manager serves as a primary client contact, managing day-to-day client relationships to ensure profitability, strategic effectiveness, and creative quality. Builds, strengthens, and maintains client relationships. Acts as a client representative with internal teams with the goal of creating successful outcomes. Also manages internal resources with respect to ongoing or short-term projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Day to day client lead who provides perspective and leadership in development of quality strategic thinking and solutions for clients. 
  • Responsible for defining scope and budgets with clients, managing information between the client and internal teams, maintaining client relationships, and meeting client objectives, on time and on budget. 
  • Supports account team members on overall account management, including conference reports and development of other client communications such as strategic briefs. 
  • Achieves revenue and profitability goals. Identifies opportunities for agency growth.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of marketing experience, agency background preferred 
  • 1-3 years of agency experience working on Fortune 100 accounts preferred 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to build rapport quickly with clients, experience managing direct reports preferred but not required. 
  • Experience working with integrated client teams including account and creative resources 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook 
  • Ability to travel required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism/communications, business, marketing or related field
