Sales Representative-Paid Internship

This position is responsible for contacting prospects through research and through leads provided by the sales manager. This individual will then present Acme event capabilities during face-to-face meetings and networking events. 

The person that we seek is outgoing and enjoys meeting new people. This individual must have initiative and not be intimidated by cold calling.

Position Overview

•  Contact previous and prospective clients to inquire about upcoming events
•  Research potential clients and events in the Milwaukee area
•  Secure meetings in order to present Acme Corp. event capabilities
•  Follow up on leads provided by the sales manager
•  Contribute toward moving opportunities through the sales process 
•  Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients 
•  Assist with event quotes, proposals, and quote followup
•  Represent Acme Corp. at networking and industry events
•  Maintain client database 
•  Work closely with the sales manager on strategies to accomplish business growth goals

• Communication, sales, or marketing background
• A real "people" person 
• Not afraid to cold call 
• Comfortable meeting new people
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Organized and proactive
• Knowledge of event industry is a plus
